Värmlands Moose Park in Ekshärad is one of the most visited activities in Ekshärad.

Ekshärad has a nice (not big) city centre with various shops/businesses such as tourist information (www.visithagfors.se), ice-cream bar, sports/clothing shop, paint/souvenir shop, 2 supermarkets, gas station, flower shop, garden/pet shop, auction hall, bookshop, loppis (second hand store), take away pizza, and restaurants. Miniature golf
In the centre of Ekshärad you’ll find a nice miniature golf course.
The church in Ekshärad
Ekshärad has a very famous church that is completely made of small wooden plates. Also inside it is all wood and it has beautiful paintings in the ceiling. You can go inside for free. On the left side you can turn on a sound tape that will guide you all the way through the church with nice things to know about the church.
At the cemetery you can see the famous iron crosses on the graves: the falling leaves. Beautiful artfully forged iron work!
Hagfors (20 km) has a larger shopping centre with more shops and larger companies.
Karlstad, the Centre of Karlstad (90 km) is a beautiful old city with a beautiful large shopping centre. In the city centre you’ll find an indoor shopping centre www.mitticity.info.
In Karlstad you can also go shopping at Bergviks shopping centre. It’s open 7 days a week from 8.00 till 22.00 www.bergvik.se.
Rafting
On the river Klarälven (the longest river in Sweden) you can follow the stream on a raft. You can either rent a pontoon raft or build your own timber raft. (www.sverigeflotten.com) and (www.vildmark.se).
Sunne Sommarland
70 kilometer southwest from the ranch there is a beautiful water park that is open during the summer months. www.vattenlandet.se
