Flicka
We moved Flicka in April 2012 from The Netherlands. She is a Brown New Forest crossing from 2005 and around 150 cm high.
Flicka was sold in September 2020 to Sandra who also has her other horse (haflinger Sancho) here in the herd. But you might still see Flicka go for a ride with us every now and then.
Flicka means girl in Swedish, so it’s funny that she had that name already in The Netherlands and lives in Sweden now.
She is an easy and quiet horse. In the beginning of the ride/lesson she is really really slow, but after 10 minutes she’s warm and she can easily catch up with the rest of the group. A bit of a diesel we always say. For example, she needs a little motivation to get her very active and attentive in the lesson.
She likes to dominate the other horses but she’s not really that high in rank. In the herd she is a lot with Kalle. If you take Flicka from the field then you often get Kalle with you as well. He is always nearby Flicka, as if they were a married couple.
